Safety Awareness course options

Emzotech offers three categories of Safety Awareness training for operational personnel, non-operational personnel and operatives using closed no-contact equipment.

Non Operational

Designed for people responsible for planning, managing, supervising or overseeing water jetting activities who do not undertake the practical operation themselves.

Operational

The prerequisite Safety Awareness course for trainees who wish to attend the practical UKWJA modules.

New trainees and trainees whose WJA cards have expired must attend and successfully complete this course before progressing to practical module training.

CNC

Safety Awareness training for operatives who use automated CNC water jetting equipment within a closed hood or closed no-contact system.

The course covers the safe use of automated equipment and includes a practical assessment.

  • Operatives using closed-hood automated CNC equipment
  • Operatives working with closed no-contact water jetting systems

The Safety Awareness CNC course focuses on the safe use of automated closed no-contact equipment and includes a practical assessment. 

Getting Certified

How Certification Works

Step 1

Complete Safety Awareness

Operational trainees must successfully complete Safety Awareness before attending the practical modules. 

Step 2

Complete a practical module

Candidates complete at least one relevant practical module, such as Tube and Pipe Cleaning, Surface Preparation, Drain and Sewer or Hydro-demolition. 

Step 3

Receive an operational card

Candidates who successfully complete Safety Awareness and at least one qualifying module can be issued a UKWJA operational card. 

Additional note: UKWJA training must be refreshed every three years. Further modules can be added while the candidate’s Safety Awareness certification remains in date.
